I read somewhere that
every word we speak
every move we make
will have an effect
but
who would have thought
that two years ago
a whispered aside
'I follow a blog!'
in a slightly embarrassed manner,
would lead me
to following
one blog
and then another
and another.
Would lead me to
step out and
start a blog
who would have thought
that that original whispered aside
would lead me down a track
that two and a half years later
would lead to a weekend
that I was not looking forward to
would lead to a
weekend of laughter
and love
Souk actually allowing the beautiful Kerry to hold her!!!!!!!!! |
of too much wine....me!!
too much words for friends....not me!!!
(sorry inside joke!!!!)
who would have thought
that that whispered aside
would lead to me meeting
the beautiful Kerry
from a tranquil townhouse,
Thank you Kerry for giving me your time
on this weekend
that I was dreading
for making me laugh
for making me think
for reminding me that there is
still joy out there
because
tomorrow it is
one year
for Kerry
with love
xxx
Ok, now you've made me cry. Again :) I can't begin to tell you my friend (and anyone else who's reading) how special that weekend was. Your wise counsel, your care and concern for me when you are suffering and bracing yourself for tomorrow, was such a gift to me. We laughed a lot didn't we!! And I take no responsibility for your alcohol consumption. And one day soon I will beat you at WWF. That's a promise! I'll be thinking of you tomorrow. Take care and bless xx
ReplyDeleteWe absolutely have to have a bloggy weekend!!! Kerry even Souki is missing you!!!! Methinks you are getting too good at WWF you have learnt how to block I don't think I like that!!!!!!!!!!!! xxx
DeleteI am so pleased you had a wonderful and happy weekend. Yes, I was just thinking about you this evening and the dates... Sending my love. XXX
ReplyDeleteSarah, we seemed to eat, laugh, talk (me!) and dare I say, drank (me!!) a lot!!!

ReplyDeleteJane it was a lot of fun and it was incredible how well we knew each other
Deletetruly this is an amazing place!!!!! xx
Blogging is a 'virtual'; community but a community all the same. Our lives are so enriched by getting to know others all over the world. Blessings to you, Jules~ xox, Vicki
ReplyDeleteVicki I used to be very sceptical of couples who met online but since I joined this community I can now understand how it happens! I have made some really beautiful friends and friends you are. You have been there through my ups and downs, you didn't desert me when I retreated to the safety of my pink chair you all came back so quickly (some were there all the way through!) and now with my new FB adventure you are al coming on board so willingly.
DeleteSo short answer is, yes this is a very enriching and wonderful community! xx
Dearest Jules,
ReplyDeleteCongrats for this UNIQUE achievement! You're one brave lady and there are several who will be very proud of you.
You look great!!!!!!!!!!!
Love to you,
Mariette
Alas Mariette that is not me but the beautiful Kerry. My dog does not allow people to hold her or touch her she is completely and absolutely a one person animal and then along came Kerry...she was allowed to hold, to feed and to touch...amazing!!!!!!!
DeleteYour experience with Kerry mirrors mine, over and over again. Last weekend in Ucluelet I spent a day with the blogging friend of a blogging friend and had a wonderful time. Life can be BIG or it can be narrow - and I choose BIG!
ReplyDeleteOh I choose BIG too!!!!! I had a wonderful time!!!!
DeleteOh Jules, how wonderful! It sounds like just the medicine for you both. Having been lucky enough to meet Kerry I know the fun you must have had. She is an amazing woman and it looks like we all might be turning her towards the joys of spending time with pooches too!
ReplyDeleteSending you a hug today x
Sarah I don't know whether we have quite convinced her yet but she did win over my two and our visiting pooch!!!!!!
DeleteSo glad you had a good weekend! This community of supportive women is really something. Thinking of you tomorrow. Hope you will find it a watershed day.

Hello lovely Julienne, I'm so glad Kerry was there for you on this anniversary. She is wonderful. And I'm sorry I missed it. I have been out of touch with blogland unfortunately, dealing with my own little set of troubles. You still amaze me with the way you write, I just love it. I've borrowed some of your words, I hope you don't mind. (I reinstated the blog, by the way after realising what a silly decision it was..). Have a lovely week..Rachael xxx
ReplyDeleteOh Rachael I am so glad you are back I was missing you. You were one of my first blogs and even when I am not in view with comments I have been there! xxx
